 The title is "Anonymous Ego," which translates to "the true self in hiding. It is a story of true self-acceptance, of someone who looks a lot like you, someone you don't like, but who, when confronted, turns out to be someone you don't want to admit to being yourself.
The concept of the song is based on three key words: dark, narrative, and self-aware, and the image was created by adding a sense of speed and frustration to the music.
The main character in the lyrics is a teenager, but I believe that even as adults, we all have parts of ourselves that we dislike that we cannot fully accept.
Even if these parts are told in a straightforward manner in a cheerful atmosphere, they may not be able to be honest and may not be able to accept it even more.
When I was developing the image of this song, I thought that this dark and fast-paced song would be able to convey this theme to the audience.
I rewrote the lyrics many times until the very end, because the nuance of the last line can change the meaning of the entire song.
In terms of the lyrics, I love the nuance of earnestness in the chorus melody as well as the content of the lyrics.
The dark atmosphere of the narrative style was inherited from Miyashita's previous songs.
I wanted to create a new image by adding a sense of speed and agitation, which is our team's forte, to it.
